Vintage With A Modern Twist

Good Wednesday Morning

Hope that your week is going well. Mine although it's had its challenges is still rolling smoothly LOL. I commute to work for three days each week and when I'm working I stay with my mother at her lovely Senior Apartment complex. I found a few places to take some pictures today, with a few on lookers anxious to ask me questions about what I'm doing, why I'm taking pictures, who will see these pictures... Gotta Love The Seniors... those that know me, know for one I'm not a morning person, and two Sweet Baby Jesus still working on me with having more patience, so lets just say they was working my bald head nerve this morning LOL. Still managed to get a few nice pics.

This outfit is Vintage from Blouse to Skirt. I found the blouse last year thrifting and recently picked up the skirt from Goodwill. At first I was hesitant about the skirt, it looked Little House on the Prarie-ish.. but I liked the dark denim rinse and the button down detail, and it has pockets which are a winning combination in my book. So I thought about how to style it for a while, and came up with this look. It has the modern touches of the wide belt and Lace Up Booties with lace tights. I Love Love Love tie-neck blouses, and this is one of my favorites, the rich colors are perfect for fall, and I think really brought this skirt / outfit to life.

Let me know what you think :)

Wishing you a fantabulous Wednesday !!!

  8. This is my first time here on your blog. I must say that this is a very nice outfit! Lots of Western-style influence with this outfit. There are very few lace-up boots I like, and I do love these lace-up booties to compliment the denim skirt and floral top. Trés chic! Oh, and thank you for your support of my work.
